Before you Apply

Before you begin your application for the US2GH Scholarship, please take the time to gather and prepare the following information and documents. Having everything ready will make the process smoother and ensure your application is complete:

Documentation and how to prepare

  1. Personal Information:

    • Full Name, Date of Birth, Gender

    • Nationality and Permanent Residency Status (if applicable)

    • Home Address, Email Address, and Phone Number

  2. Academic Information:

    • High School Name and Address

    • Graduation Date and Grade Point Average (GPA)

    • Standardized Test Scores (if applicable, e.g., SAT, ACT)

    • Copies of academic transcripts and certificates

  3. University Information:

    • Acceptance Letter from an accredited university in the U.S., Canada, the UK, Finland, or other approved countries

    • Details of your Program and Field of Study

    • University Start and Expected Graduation Dates

  4. Financial Information:

    • Family Income details and number of dependents

    • Employment Status of Applicant and Parent/Guardian

    • Financial Aid received (if any) and Estimated Education Expenses

    • Financial Documents (e.g., recent tax returns, pay slips)

  5. Personal Statements:

    • A 500-1000 word Personal Statement detailing your educational goals, career aspirations, and how you plan to contribute to your community and home country

    • An Essay explaining your financial situation and the necessity of this scholarship

  6. Letters of Recommendation:

    • At least two letters from teachers, community leaders, or employers who can attest to your character, commitment, and educational intent

Application Process

Step One

Complete the form, add your details, and upload all required documents.

Step Two

If qualified, expect an email for additional information or to proceed to the next stage

Step Three

Participate in a virtual video interview as the third step of the application process.

Step Four

Decision-making stage; await notification regarding the final scholarship award decision.
